When a residential neighborhood lost an extended shoulder, GeoBuild was brought in to help fix the issue. Upon mobilization to the site, GeoBuild personnel noticed another 180 feet of roadway shoulder that would require repair.
Our design-build solution consisted of a soil nail and shotcrete repair, while the shoulder build-out was accomplished using a GCS Wall that was up to 10 feet high and supported by micropiles.
Because of GeoBuild’s in-house design capabilities, we were able to respond to the additional work without impacting the project schedule. By blending our various technologies and approaches, we are proud of the final product we delivered to the Owner and the residents.
What GeoBuild remembers most about this project is the generosity of the nearby residents who hosted us for a cookout.
